Werk Nr 3059 was a Messerschmitt Bf 108D-1
History
Built in 1942,[1] and coded VE+LI of an unknown unit at the time of it's capture, 3059 was redesignated Air Min 87.[2] Registered to Air Couriers Ltd as G-AKZY between 7 June 1946 and 9 January 1950, it was exported to the US circa 1968[3] as NX2231,[4] becoming N2231 by 10 April 1980.[5]
