No. 1426 (Enemy Aircraft) Flight acquired their Henschel Hs 129B W.Nr. 0297 in July 1942 from North Africa. It had flown with I/SG2 of the Luftwaffe. It took over twelve months to bring this aircraft up to flying standard as NF756. It was flown again at Collyweston on 13 May 1944.
