Captured Wings Wiki

Originally coded D-ASVX Thuringen "1" of DLH,[1] this particular Condor was the personnel aircraft of Heinrich Himmler, and later Grand Admiral Doenitz. It was found intact at Achmer, Germany in 1945 and, designated Air Min 96, was painted in RAF roundels, while still carrying Luftwaffe aircraft code GC+AE. Flown to Farnborough on 3 July 1945 for evaluation,[2] it was transferred, along with Werk Nr 0181, to Danish airline D.D.L in February 1946.[3] Werk Nr 0111 was eventually scrapped at Tirstrup, Denmark on 29 July 1947.[4]
