On page 120 of his book Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor - The Airliner that went to War, Juan-Carlos Salgado lists this aircraft as F8+GW.^[2] Flown by Oberfeldwebel Karl Wittman, who was taken prisoner with his crew,^[3] it went missing on 31 January 1943, during the retreat from Stalingrad.^{[N 1]} Subsequently test flown by Soviet Engineer-Major Gribakin and Colonel Kabanov in the USSR, the aircraft was later put on display in Moscow.^[2]^{[N 2]}
