Built at Chester and delivered in mid-1940, L7842 was lost on February 6th, 1941 while on a mission to Boulogne (France), when it was forced to land and was captured intact. After the aircraft received German markings, it was flown to the Luftwaffe’s Rechlin test facility.
L7842's subsequent fate is unknown.
- The Luftwaffe insignia is already in place, but the aircraft has not yet received the traditional yellow underside paint used by the Luftwaffe’s Rechlin test facility.
