Captured Wings Wiki

Built by Nakajima, and delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), gaining tail code 8-34.

Captured at Aslito Airfield on Saipan during June 1944 by US Marines, this Zero was one of fifteen Japanese aircraft (plus spare engines) loaded aboard USS Copahee, including A6M5 1303, A6M5 4340, A6M5 5350, A6M2 5352 (this aircraft), A6M5 5356 and A6M5 5357. All were transported to the United States for technical evaluation. During 1944-1945 this Zero was studied in the United States.[1]

Although it's ultimate fate is unknown, it was most likely scrapped, as it is not listed among surviving examples.[2]
