Originally built as c/n 5350 and delivered to the 131st Kokutai. Captured at Suzuka airfield, Japan in 1945.
To the USA[]
In November 1945 sent to the USA via carrier USS Barnes to the Technical Air Intelligence Center at NAS Anacostia and further tested as FE-1200 and later as T2-1200.[1] Transferred to Olmstead Field, Pennsyvania to be restored for museum display in 1946. Displayed at NAS Willow Grove, Pennsylvania from 1958 till 1980.

Ended up in storage in the Paul E. Garber facility of the National Air and Space Museum (NASM), without its wings.[2]
