History[]
Built as c/n 90,[1] 62-4154 joined the US Army in February 1963. Between March 1963 and December 1966, the aircraft was assigned to 135th Aviation Company based at Fort Benning,GA, Named "N.A.A.C.P. Flt.105, 62-4154 departed Fort Benning on 3 January 1966, travelling via Hamilton AFB, CA, Hickam AFB, Hawaii, Midway Island, Wake Island, Anderson AFB, Guam, Clark AFB, Philippines to Qui Nhon, Vietnam, arriving on 23 January.
On 1 January 1967, 42-4154 was transferred to USAF under operation "Red Leaf", and assigned to the 458th Squadron at Cam Ranh Bay, receiving Vietnam Tail code "KC". On 31 March 1972, 62-4154 was transferred to the South Vietnam Air Force under the Military Assistance Program (MAP). Assigned to 429 Transport Squadron, 62-4154 received tail code PP.[2] Captured by NVN troops at Tan Son Nhut AB in 1974,[1] the aircraft's current status is unknown.
