History

Among the P-39s sent to the USSR,[1] 44-2092 was assigned to 102 GIAP , 2GIAK of Leningrad PVO as "White 20". On 17 June 1944 White 20, together with "White 25", also of 102 GIAP, and "White 26" of 103 GIAP, force-landed in South-Eastern Finland, after getting lost and running out of fuel. [2]

All three were presumably captured by Finland, as White 25's wings were used in the restoration of White 26.[3] together with some components of White 20.
