History[]

Built at Boeing's Seattle factory as c/n 5162, 42-30048 was assigned to 384th BG, 544th BS, and named *Flak Dancer*. During a mission to Villacoulbay, France, on 26 June 1943, 43-30048 crash landed at Laon airfield. Salvaged by the Luftwaffe, the aircraft was used by KG-200 and Zirkus Rosarius as A3+CE.[2]

Notes[]

  1. It appears that this photograph was taken at a captured Luftwaffe airfield late in the war, as the gawkers look like Allied airmen.[1]
